MEXICO, Mexico City, clump of four cob 8 reales in encrustation, probably all Philip IV, assayer P visible on one. 117.80 grams total. Roughly 2-3/4" x 2" x 1/2". Four solid coins in a small pile with lovely whitish coral encrustation tinged with green covering all but the top and bottom coins, those exposed sides showing shields (two) and cross, the oMP clear on one, a great little display if a bit compact. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his Concepción contract with the Dominican Republic and accompanied by the July 1996 issue of National Geographic signed by Captain Tracy Bowden on his article "Gleaning Treasure from the Silver Bank." Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
